Waste Management Officer Punjab

Role & responsibilities Identify opportunities for reducing waste at the source, reusing materials, and improving waste disposal practices. Establish waste disposal schedules and ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines. Promote waste segregation practices across the organization. Coordinate recycling programs, ensuring that appropriate bins and containers are provided for different types of waste. Work with external recycling vendors to ensure proper processing of recyclable materials. Maintain accurate records of waste disposal activities and recycling efforts to ensure regulatory compliance. Conduct training sessions for employees on waste management practices, including waste segregation, recycling, and disposal protocols. Raise awareness about the importance of waste reduction and sustainability across the organization. Maintain and update records of waste management activities, including disposal logs, recycling data, and compliance reports. Report to senior management on waste management performance and provide recommendations for improvements. Prepare reports for regulatory bodies, as required, on wastemanagement activities and sustainability efforts.

Preferred candidate profile Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Waste Management, or related field (preferred). Certification in Waste Management or Environmental Management (e.g., CWM, ISO 14001) Proven experience in waste management, environmental sustainability, or related roles. .
