Tax Technology Developer (Manager) (Punjab)

About the Role We are a fast-growing accounting outsourcing firm on a mission to build next-generation Tax Technology solutions that transform how businesses manage accounting, compliance, reporting, and advisory services. We are seeking a dynamic Tax Technology Developer at the Managerial level who uniquely blends hands-on full-stack development experience with a strategic mindset for product conceptualisation and go-to-market execution. This role sits at the intersection of technology, tax domain expertise, and product marketing making it ideal for a professional who has evolved from a developer background into a broader product and business role. Key Responsibilities A. Full-Stack Development
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Tax Tech web applications and platforms using modern full-stack technologies.
- Build robust back-end services, APIs, and databases to support tax computation, data processing, and compliance workflows.
- Develop intuitive front-end interfaces that simplify complex tax processes for end users.
- Ensure application security, performance optimisation, and code quality through reviews and testing.
- Collaborate with tax domain experts to translate regulatory requirements into functional technical solutions. B. Product Development
- Lead end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation and requirements gathering to prototyping, development, and launch.
- Define product roadmaps and feature prioritisation in alignment with business objectives and client needs.
- Conduct competitor analysis and market research to identify whitespace opportunities in the Tax Tech landscape.
- Work closely with stakeholders, tax professionals, and clients to gather feedback and drive continuous product improvement.
- Document product specifications, user stories, and technical architecture. C. Marketing Strategy & Product Commercialisation
- Conceptualise and contribute to go-to-market strategies for Tax Tech products developed by the team.
- Develop product positioning, value propositions, and messaging tailored to target segments (SMEs, large corporates, CA firms, etc.).
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create collateral — product decks, case studies, landing pages, and demo videos.
- › Support pre-sales and client presentations by articulating technical capabilities in business-friendly language.
- › Track product adoption metrics, user engagement, and campaign performance to refine strategies. D. Leadership & Collaboration
- › Manage and mentor junior developers and cross-functional team members.
- › Act as a bridge between the technology, operations, and business development teams.
- › Participate in client meetings, demos, and discovery calls to understand requirements and showcase solutions. Qualifications & Experience Essential
- › 3–7 years of overall experience with a minimum of 2 years in full-stack development (proficiency in technologies such as Node.js, React/Angular, Python, SQL/NoSQL databases).
- › Demonstrated experience in product development — having conceptualised, built, and launched at least one software product or internal tool.
- › Basic understanding of marketing principles — product positioning, customer segmentation, and GTM strategy.
- › Familiarity with tax, accounting, or fintech domain (direct tax, GST, TDS, financial reporting, etc.) is a strong advantage.
- › Strong communication skills — ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Preferred
- › Exposure to SaaS product development and cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
- › Experience with agile/scrum methodologies.
- › Prior experience working in an accounting, CA firm, ERP, or Tax Tech company.
- › MBA or equivalent qualification in marketing/strategy is a plus (not mandatory). Technical & Functional Skills Technical Skills
