Description
Role Purpose The role is responsible for supporting the Finance Director in managing end-to-end finance operations including accounting, reporting, taxation, compliance, and banking activities. The position plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and performance visibility. Key Responsibilities A. Accounting & Financial Operations
- Spearhead and work with a team of 7-8 people of accounts officers and executives.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in ERP/accounting systems
- Supervise and guide accounts team (payables and receivables)
- Monitor vendor payments and customer collections to ensure optimal cash cycle
- Maintain books of accounts in compliance with applicable accounting standards
- Drive process discipline and controls in accounting operations B. Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare periodic MIS reports including:
- P&L; statements
- Balance Sheet
- Cash flow statements
- Budget vs actual analysis
- Support in monthly, quarterly, and annual closure activities
- Track cost centers, analyze variances, and identify optimization opportunities
- Support budgeting and forecast processes
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal stakeholders and group management C. Banking & Treasury
- Manage banking relationships and day-to-day banking operations
- Support working capital management and fund planning
- Assist in managing credit facilities and banking compliance D. Taxation
- Ensure timely and accurate filing and compliance of:
- GST returns and payments
- TDS returns and payments
- EPF & ESI filings
- Coordinate with consultants and auditors on tax matters E. Compliance & Audit
- Support statutory and internal audits
- Handle tax audit and regulatory filings
- Ensure compliance with:
- Income tax regulations
- Transfer pricing requirements
- MSME reporting
- Liaise with auditors and regulatory authorities F. Controls & Process Improvement
- Strengthen internal controls across finance processes
- Support digitization and automation initiatives
- Drive cost control and efficiency improvements
- Participate in stock verification and inventory valuation processes Qualification & Experience Education
- Chartered Accountant (CA) / CA Inter / CMA / M. Com Experience
- 58 years of relevant experience in finance & accounting
- Experience in manufacturing industry required. Feed industry experience highly preferred.
- Exposure to multi-location operations or group reporting is an advantage Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- Managerial skills
- Accounting principles
- GST, TDS, and direct tax regulations
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (D365 or similar preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills (MIS reporting, data analysis, dashboards)
- Experience in preparing management presentations Behavioral Competencies
