Assistant Electrical Manager (Punjab)

Role & responsibilities To ensure reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of electrical systems and infrastructure across the API manufacturing facility. The role is responsible for maintaining uninterrupted power supply, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, supporting utility operations, and maximizing equipment availability to meet production targets. Key Responsibilities Electrical Operations & Maintenance
- Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of all electrical systems within the plant.
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Monitor electrical equipment performance and ensure minimum downtime.
- Maintain electrical distribution systems to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
- Troubleshoot electrical failures and implement corrective and preventive actions. Power Distribution & Infrastructure Management
- Manage HT/LT panels, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, PCCs, APFC panels, and power distribution networks.
- Monitor electrical load management and power quality parameters.
- Ensure optimum utilization of electrical resources and energy efficiency.
- Coordinate with electricity boards and regulatory authorities for statutory compliance. DG Set & Utility Support
- Oversee operation and maintenance of DG sets and associated electrical systems.
- Support utility equipment including:
- Chillers
- Air Compressors
- Cooling Towers
- HVAC Systems
- Water Treatment Plants
- Pumps and Motors
- Ensure uninterrupted power supply to critical production and utility equipment. Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Execute electrical installation, commissioning, and expansion projects.
- Participate in equipment upgrades, automation initiatives, and energy-saving projects.
- Conduct root cause analysis of recurring electrical failures.
- Identify and implement cost-saving and energy optimization opportunities. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, EHS, electrical safety standards, and statutory regulations.
- Maintain electrical drawings, maintenance records, SOPs, logbooks, and checklists.
- Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
- Ensure compliance with electrical inspection requirements and statutory certifications. Safety Management
- Implement electrical safety practices and Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Ensure protected working conditions for employees and contractors.
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
