The IT Manager will act as the owner of IT, ERP, and digital systems, with the primary objective of:
- Eliminating manual and fragmented systems
- Bringing real-time visibility into production and operations
- Strengthening cybersecurity and governance
- Building a scalable digital foundation for future growth This role is not limited to IT support it is a business-critical role responsible for driving system-led execution discipline across the organization. Key Responsibilities 1. ERP Ownership & Business System Transformation (Critical Priority)
- Own and drive end-to-end usage of ERP (Lighthouse or future systems)
- Ensure ERP becomes the single source of truth across:
- Sales Planning Production Dispatch Finance
- Lead implementation of:
- Production Planning & Discrete Manufacturing modules
- Eliminate dependency on:
- Excel / Google Sheets / manual tracking
- Ensure:
- Data accuracy
- Master data discipline (items, BOMs, routing, vendors) 2. Production Visibility & Shop Floor Digitisation
- Solve the current “black box production” problem
- Implement:
- Digital production tracking systems
- Shop floor data capture (tablets / barcode / QR systems)
- Integrate:
- PLC / SCADA / LIMS / equipment data with ERP
- Enable real-time visibility of:
- Order status
- Delays and bottlenecks
- Production performance 3. IT Infrastructure & Plant Systems
- Manage plant-wide IT infrastructure:
- Network, Wi-Fi, firewalls, switches
- Cloud systems (OCI / similar)
- Ensure:
- High uptime and performance
- Scalability for future expansion
- Upgrade outdated systems and endpoints 4. Cybersecurity & Data Protection (High Priority)
- Strengthen cybersecurity posture across the organisation:
- VPN-based access (remove open remote tools)
- Role-based access control (RBAC)
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Endpoint security (EDR, patching)
- Ensure:
- Protection of financial and HR data
- Compliance readiness (DPDPA, audits)
- Build:
- Incident response framework
- Security monitoring and logs 5. Backup, Disaster Recovery & Risk Management
- Design and implement:
- Automated and tested backup systems
- Disaster Recovery (DR) plan with defined RTO/RPO
- Conduct periodic DR drills
- Remove single points of failure in IT systems 6. Data, MIS & Analytics
- Build a structured data foundation:
- Improve data integrity and standardisation
- Deliver reliable dashboards for:
- Production
- Inventory
- Costing
- Delivery performance
- Enable leadership to take data-driven decisions in real time 7. IT Governance & Process Discipline
- Establish formal IT governance:
- Policies for access, usage, security
- Change management processes
- Implement:
- Ticketing system with SLAs
- Move organisation from:
- Person-dependent System-driven 8. Vendor & Technology Management
- Manage ERP, IT, and application vendors
- Evaluate and implement:
- CRM
- HRMS
- Cybersecurity tools
- Ensure alignment with long-term growth and scalability 9. Team Management & Capability Building
- Manage and develop internal IT team
- Build internal capability in:
- Cybersecurity
- Infrastructure
- Application support Key KPIs (Success Metrics)
- ERP adoption across departments (% usage)
- Reduction in manual processes (Excel dependency)
- Production visibility (real-time tracking implementation)
- System uptime (>99%)
- Cybersecurity incidents (zero major breaches)
- Backup and recovery readiness (tested DR)
- Data accuracy and reporting reliability Candidate Profile Experience
- 8–15 years in IT / Systems roles
- Experience in:
- Manufacturing / steel / industrial setup (preferred)
- Strong exposure to ERP-led environments Technical Skills
- Networking (LAN/WAN, VPN, VLAN, firewalls)
- ERP systems (implementation + management)
- Cybersecurity (IAM, endpoint security, backups)
- Cloud infrastructure (OCI/AWS/Azure)
- Data & reporting tools (Power BI preferred) Preferred Experience
- IT-OT integration (PLC / SCADA / MES)
