Gold Appraiser (Namakkal)

. Gold Appraisal & Valuation
- Examine gold ornaments to determine purity, weight, and authenticity.
- Conduct standard tests such as touchstone testing, acid tests, and karat verification.
- Identify and deduct the weight of stones, beads, and other non-gold components.
- Prepare accurate valuation reports . 2. Loan Process Support
- Provide appraisal results to loan officers for loan sanctioning.
- Ensure appraisal details are correctly entered in registers and software.
- Assist in calculating eligible loan amounts based on approved gold rates. 3. Compliance & Safety
- Follow Nidhi Limited guidelines and internal policies related to gold loans.
- Ensure safe handling, packing, sealing, and storage of pledged jewels in lockers.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and prevent misuse or mishandling of ornaments.
- Identify fake, adulterated, or low-quality gold and report immediately. 4. Member Service
- Explain valuation methods to members in a transparent manner.
- Address customer queries regarding purity, net weight, and loan value. 5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily appraisal records, registers, and stock verification reports.
- Support internal/external audits related to gold loans. Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 1–5 years of experience in gold appraisal (Nidhi, NBFC, bank, or pawnbroker).
- Knowledge of gold purity testing, hallmarking standards, and valuation techniques.
- Ability to detect fake or tampered gold.
- Solid attention to detail and integrity.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Minimum Qualification: 12th pass; certification in gold appraisal is preferred Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: Up to ₹18,000.00 per month Benefits:
