Senior Accountant (IT Industry) – Job DescriptionJob Title Senior Accountant – IT / Software Company Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage the complete accounting functions of an IT company. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, handling taxation, preparing financial reports, managing audits, payroll, compliance, and supporting management with financial analysis and budgeting. Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Accounting
- Handle complete accounting activities of the company.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts in compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage day-to-day accounting entries in ERP/Tally/Accounting software.
- Prepare journal entries, ledgers, and bank reconciliations.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable. Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Generate Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow reports.
- Conduct variance analysis and financial forecasting.
- Assist management in budgeting and financial planning. Taxation & Compliance
- Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances.
- Prepare and file GST returns, TDS returns, and tax reports.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities. Payroll & Employee Expenses
- Process employee payroll and reimbursements.
- Maintain payroll records and statutory deductions.
- Verify employee expense claims and vendor payments. Audit & Internal Controls
- Support internal and external audits.
- Maintain proper documentation for audit purposes.
- Implement accounting controls and financial procedures. IT Industry-Specific Accounting
- Manage software revenue recognition and project accounting.
- Track project costs, AMC contracts, SaaS subscriptions, and client billing.
- Handle foreign currency transactions and overseas client invoices.
- Monitor IT asset accounting and depreciation. MIS & Reporting
- Prepare MIS reports for management review.
- Analyze business performance and provide financial insights.
- Support decision-making with financial data analysis. Required Skills
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Expertise in GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Experience with Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel knowledge (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, MIS reporting).
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and team management abilities. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce/Accounting/Finance (B.Com, M.Com).
- CA Inter / CMA / MBA Finance preferred.
- 5–10 years of accounting experience, preferably in the IT industry. Preferred Experience
- Experience in software companies, IT services, SaaS, or technology firms.
- Knowledge of project accounting and international transactions.
- Experience handling audits and financial compliance independently. Pay: ₹25,000.00
