Intellectual Property Consultant (New Delhi)

Job Title: Consultant (1 year contract) Location: Delhi Experience: 0-2 years Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific discipline Job Purpose Looking for a highly motivated IP Professional to support and manage patent prosecution and related intellectual property activities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, hands on experience in patent drafting and prosecution, and the ability to work closely with inventors, attorneys’ other relevant stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and prosecute patent applications (provisional and non-provisional) in coordination with inventors and patent attorneys
- Conduct prior art searches, patentability, freedom-to-operate (FTO) and landscape analyses
- Conduct IPR Awareness Workshops
- Provide guidance on IP best practices Required Qualifications & Skills
- Registered Indian Patent Agent
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific discipline (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, etc.)
- 0-2years of experience in patent prosecution or IP-related roles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Collaboration and stakeholder communication Skills (Soft and Functional)
- Strategic Leadership: Ability to formulate and execute long-term strategies to build and sustain a robust startup and innovation ecosystem.
- Stakeholder Management: Solid skills in engaging and influencing diverse stakeholders including government officials, industry leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to represent ASSOCHAM effectively and build networks.
- Program Management: Proficiency in designing, implementing, and monitoring startup support programs such as incubation, mentorship, and funding initiatives.
- Networking: Strong ability to build partnerships and collaborations nationally and internationally. IT Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for document preparation, data analysis, and presentations.
- Email and Calendar Management using MS Outlook or similar tools for scheduling and coordination.
- Virtual Meeting Platforms (Zoom, MS Teams, Google Meet) for webinars, meetings, and online events.
- Online Research Skills to gather industry data, track policy updates, and prepare briefing notes.
- Familiar with the use of Artificial Intelligence tools, including ChatGPT and similar platforms, for enhancing efficiency and communication.
