Production Manager – Rigid Box Manufacturing (Delhi)

### *About the Role* We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations for a rigid box production unit with a mix of automatic and manual processes. The role requires solid shopfloor leadership, process optimization skills, and hands-on experience in packaging/printing/fabrication environments. --- ### *Key Responsibilities* *1. Production Planning & Execution*
* Plan daily/weekly production schedules based on order pipeline
* Ensure optimal utilization of:
* 12 automatic rigid box machines
* Case maker & conveyors
* Manual and automatic die cutting machines
* Achieve production targets with minimum downtime *2. Shopfloor Management*
* Manage a team of ~100 workers including operators, helpers, and supervisors
* Monitor discipline, attendance, and shift allocation
* Drive productivity across both automated and manual lines *3. Process Optimization*
* Reduce material wastage (paper, board, adhesive)
* Improve cycle time and output per machine
* Balance load between automatic machines and manual processes *4. Quality Control*
* Ensure consistent box quality (finish, alignment, pasting, structure)
* Implement in-line quality checks
* Minimize rejections and rework *5. Machine & Maintenance Coordination*
* Work closely with maintenance team to reduce breakdowns
* Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed
* Optimize machine uptime *6. Vendor & Raw Material Coordination*
* Coordinate with purchase/store teams for timely availability of:
* Grey board
* Printed sheets
* Adhesives and consumables *7. Cost Control*
* Monitor production costs and wastage
* Improve efficiency to reduce per-unit cost *8. Reporting*
* Daily production reports
* Wastage & efficiency tracking
* Manpower productivity reports --- ### *Candidate Profile* *Must-Have:*
* 5–12 years of experience in:
* Rigid box manufacturing / packaging / printing / carton industry
* Strong hands-on shopfloor experience (not purely office-based)
* Experience handling 50+ manpower
* Good understanding of:
* Die cutting
* Pasting & finishing
* Rigid box processes *Preferred:*
* Experience with automatic rigid box machines
* Exposure to luxury/gift packaging industry
