· Onsite Experience: 1–2 years (LLB graduates and strong final-year students welcome) Compensation: Competitive base + real practice exposure + growth path About Us We're an early-stage ed-tech startup building India's first dedicated platform for law-career aspirants — starting with AIBE, CLAT, CIVIL SERVICES, NEET, Judiciary / Civil Judge exams (PCS-J), APO, and many more. One platform, multiple career journey: from law school entrance to a permanent seat on the bench. Our tech platform is built, our product is live, and we're now scaling the depth and breadth of our legal content. This isn't a regular content-writing role. It's for a lawyer who wants two things at once: a serious, intellectually rich career in legal education content, and continued exposure to real legal drafting work. We offer both — deliberately. The Role You'll wear two hats: Hat 1: Legal Content (~70% of your time) You'll create and vet exam-prep content across our verticals — judiciary, CLAT, AIBE, and other legal exams as the company expands. This means writing study notes, building MCQ banks, drafting model answers for mains, recording explainer scripts, and updating material when laws or syllabi change. You'll be the person who ensures every legal claim on our platform is accurate, well-cited, and student-friendly. You should have exposure to international exams too like SQE and MBE. Hat 2: Legal Drafting (~30% of your time) You'll also get hands-on with real legal drafting work that comes through the firm — petitions, replies, opinions, contracts, depending on what's on the docket. This isn't filler work or shadow work; it's the practice experience that pure ed-tech content roles can't offer and that you'd otherwise spend years chasing at a junior law firm. The mix is genuine. Don't take this role if you only want one of the two — take it if you want both, and want to grow at both. What You'll Do On the content side
- Create high-quality study material across substantive law (Cr PC, CPC, IPC, Evidence, Contract, Constitution, Torts, Jurisprudence, etc.) and procedural law for our exam syllabi
• You may need to hire Legal Intern and manage them in order to grow the team
• Build MCQ question banks with explicit, defensible answers and detailed explanations
• Draft model answers for mains-format questions and concise case-law summaries
• Vet content created by freelancers and external SMEs — our name should never go on anything that isn't accurate
• Track legal developments (new judgments, statute amendments, rule changes) and update material accordingly
• Write video scripts and short explainers for social content
• Contribute to the design of mock tests, test series, and answer-writing programs On the drafting side:
- Assist with drafting petitions, replies, legal opinions, and contracts on matters routed to the firm
• Research case law and statutory provisions to support ongoing matters
• Attend strategy discussions, take notes, and — where appropriate — court visits You'll Do Well Here If You
- Have an LLB from a recognized law college (NLU or top-tier institute is a plus, but not required; what matters more is your grasp of substantive law)
• Did well in your law school core subjects — particularly Cr PC, CPC, IPC, Evidence, Contract, and Constitution
• Write clearly and precisely — legal content must be both accurate and accessible to students
• Are intellectually honest — if you don't know an answer, you check; if a precedent is overruled, you flag it
• Care about teaching — you remember what it felt like to be confused by a concept and you want to help students get past it faster than you did
• Are genuinely interested in both legal content and legal practice — not just one
• Move fast and take ownership without waiting for permission Bonus Points
- You've personally appeared for (or seriously prepared for) PCS-J / state judicial services, CLAT, or AIBE
• You're enrolled with the Bar Council of India / have cleared AIBE
• You can write or produce content in Hindi as fluently as in English — many state judiciary exams (UP PCS-J, BPSC-J, MP, Rajasthan) are bilingual
• You've published legal articles or commentary (Lawctopus, Bar & Bench, Live Law, SCC Blog, or your own platform)
• You've worked as a research assistant for a judge, senior advocate, or law firm
• You're comfortable with digital content formats — short-form video, infographics, social posts What We Offer
- Competitive cash compensation — fair for a junior legal associate, with raises as you take on more responsibility
• Real practice exposure — actual drafting work, not just content. This is the proposition that makes the role unique.
- Career compounding — work directly with founders and senior counsel; build a portfolio of both legal writing and legal drafting in your first 2 years
• Founding-team equity for early hires who stay and grow with us
• Onsite team energy in Noida — fast feedback, real ownership, no corporate inertia
• Resources — access to legal databases (Manupatra / SCC Online), bar association memberships, and continued learning support A Note on Flexibility Our platform supports multiple legal exam verticals, and our drafting work covers a range of practice areas. You should be comfortable being asked to shift focus across exams (e.g., from judiciary to CLAT and back) or across legal subjects as the company prioritizes. We'll be transparent about why — but you should be the kind of lawyer who finds breadth energizing, not destabilizing. How to Apply Send us an email with: 1. A 300-word explainer, in your own words, on any of these concepts, aimed at a CLAT or PCS-J aspirant: res judicata, promissory estoppel, Section 482 Cr PC, or Article 21 vs. Article 19. Make it clear, accurate, and engaging. 2. One recent Supreme Court or High Court judgment (last 12 months) that you believe would change how a question on this subject should now be answered in a judiciary exam. In 2–3 sentences, tell us why. 3. Your CV and one writing sample — an article, case note, draft, brief, or anything that shows how you write about law. Email: We respond to every application within 5 working days. If your sample is strong, we'll invite you for a short interview and a paid trial task — never unpaid.
