Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under DRDO- ARMREB funded project

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa for a DRDO- Armaments Research Board (ARMREB) sponsored research project titled “Development of High Damping Shock Isolator for Optronics Signs of ATAGS (ARMREB/ADMB/2025/309).

Broad area of Research: Design Engineering, Vibration Controls, Smart Materials, System Dynamics

Duration of the project: 2 years

Fellowship Amount (Rs.): 37,000 pm + 20% HRA (as per norms)

Accommodation: Hostel accommodation will be provided subject to availability and as per project norms. It will also be governed by the rules and regulations of the Institute prevailing at the time of joining of the candidate.

Qualification: Post Graduate Degree (M.E./M.Tech./M.S.) in Mechanical Engineering/Aerospace Engg/Materials Engg/Computational Mechanics; Qualification in National Eligibility Tests: CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. Candidates who have not appeared in the above examinations may still be considered for the position.

Required Skills: Mechanical Engineering Fundamentals, Fundamental knowledge of Design Engineering, Vibration Controls, Smart Materials, System Dynamics, Finite Element Method and Numerical Analysis.

Desirable Skills: Candidate should have basic knowledge of instrumentation, programming and problem-solving skills.
