Embedded Linux Engineer (Goa)

About the Role We are looking for an Embedded Linux Engineer to drive the development and integration of edge devices with our access control and IoT platform. You will work at the intersection of hardware, firmware, and cloud, building reliable and secure device-side systems that seamlessly connect with our platform. This is a great opportunity for freshers passionate about Embedded Linux as well as engineers with up to 2 years of experience. What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain embedded software on Linux-based systems
- Integrate third-party hardware devices and controllers
- Work with communication protocols like TCP/IP, MQTT, HTTP, WebSockets
- Interface with hardware components (UART, SPI, I2C, GPIO)
- Debug issues across hardware, firmware, and networking layers
- Collaborate with backend and cloud teams for device-cloud integration
- Optimize performance, reliability, and security of systems
- Build reusable frameworks for faster integrations
- Contribute to architecture decisions and mentor junior engineers Required Skills
- 0–2 years of experience in Embedded Linux development
- Strong knowledge of C / Go / Python
- Understanding of memory management and concurrency
- Experience with networking protocols and stacks
- Hands-on experience with hardware interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, GPIO)
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of embedded system security Good to Have
- Experience with IoT systems or edge-to-cloud architecture
- Knowledge of OTA updates and device lifecycle management
- Exposure to Docker or containerization on embedded systems
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and APIs
- Experience with access control or similar hardware systems What We’re Looking For
