Role Description We are seeking passionate and academically accomplished professionals for the positions of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor in the Department of English. Educational Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in English or a related allied subject with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade)
- UGC NET / SLET / SET qualified as per applicable regulations
- Candidates holding a Ph.D. in accordance with UGC regulations are exempted from the NET requirement Key Responsibilities Academic Teaching & Learning
- Conduct undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, tutorials, seminars, and interactive classroom sessions
- Deliver engaging and outcome-oriented teaching.
- Teach subjects related to English language, literature, communication, and allied disciplines
- Promote critical thinking, analytical interpretation, and effective communication among students Curriculum Development
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and assessment strategies
- Contribute to syllabus design, curriculum enhancement, and academic planning
- Integrate contemporary teaching tools and experiential learning methodologies into classroom delivery Research & Academic Contribution
- Engage actively in academic research and scholarly activities
- Publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals and participate in conferences, seminars, and workshops
- Support institutional research, accreditation, and academic development initiatives Examination & Evaluation Responsibilities
- Prepare question papers, assess answer scripts, and conduct evaluations
- Participate in invigilation duties, viva-voce examinations, presentations, and academic assessments
- Ensure fair and transparent evaluation practices Student Mentorship & Institutional Activities
- Mentor students in language enhancement, communication skills, and career development
- Guide students in academic projects, presentations, and co-curricular activities
- Assist in organizing seminars, literary events, workshops, conferences, and departmental activities
- Support NAAC/NBA accreditation processes and departmental administration Experience Requirements Assistant Professor
