Executive Member – Department of Student Welfare Department: Student Welfare Location: Asian Education Group Reports To: Dean – Department of Student Welfare Job Type: Full-Time Working Days: 2 Alternate Saturdays Off Salary: ₹45,000 – ₹50,000 per month Job Summary The Executive Member in the Department of Student Welfare (DSW) will play a key role in fostering a safe, inclusive, disciplined, and engaging campus environment. The role involves student support, grievance handling, student engagement initiatives, event coordination, discipline management, counselling support coordination, and operational assistance to ensure the smooth functioning of the Student Welfare Department. The ideal candidate should possess solid interpersonal skills, student-centric thinking, operational efficiency, and the ability to manage diverse student concerns with professionalism and empathy. Preference may be given to experienced candidates considering the nature of student handling, parent coordination, operational responsibilities, and welfare-related activities associated with the role. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Student Affairs, Counselling, or a related field.
- Prior experience in student welfare, student affairs, counselling support, academic administration, or campus operations will be preferred. Required Skills & Competencies

- Ability to work effectively with diverse student groups.
- Leadership, coordination, and relationship-management abilities.
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Event management and organizational capabilities.
- Sensitivity towards student mental health and welfare concerns.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations professionally.
- Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and administrative coordination. Key Responsibility Areas A. Student Support & Welfare
- Act as a bridge between students and the administration to address concerns and grievances.
- Promote student well-being through counselling support, mental health awareness, and peer support initiatives.
- Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment for all students.
- Support students facing academic, emotional, financial, or personal challenges by connecting them with relevant resources and departments.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students in coordination with faculty and counselling teams.
- Facilitate peer education and peer engagement programs to empower students. B. Student Engagement & Development
- Organize and coordinate student welfare initiatives, awareness drives, and engagement activities.
- Conduct psychoeducation sessions and awareness programs to enhance students’ coping skills, emotional well-being, and personal development.
- Assist in planning extracurricular, wellness, and student development activities.
- Encourage active student participation in institutional initiatives and programs. C. Attendance Monitoring & Parent Coordination
- Regularly monitor and track student attendance to identify patterns of absenteeism or disengagement.
- Coordinate and conduct meetings with parents/guardians regarding student progress, attendance, and behavioural concerns.
- Maintain proper follow-up and communication regarding student welfare matters. D. Documentation & Administrative Support
- Prepare reports and maintain records related to student welfare activities, grievances, counselling sessions, and engagement initiatives.
- Assist in drafting and implementing new initiatives for student welfare and engagement.
- Coordinate with various departments for effective implementation of student support programs.
- Ensure confidentiality and ethical handling of sensitive student information. Pay: ₹45,000.00
