JOB DESCRIPTION Production Lead— Kids Content (Ages 0–6) Department: Content Production | Function: Creative&Production Reporting To: Head of Production Employment Type: Full-Time Location: On-site / Hybrid Experience: 6–10 Years POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking a highly experienced and deeply passionate Production Lead to anchor our Kids Content vertical, specialising in original video programming for children aged 0 to 6 years. This is a senior creative-operations role sitting at the intersection of storytelling, child development sensibility, and cutting-edge production technology. The Production Lead will own the end-to-end production pipeline — from the earliest creative spark to final delivery on platform — ensuring every piece of content meets our uncompromising quality standards, brand voice,and developmental appropriateness benchmarks. This individual will also champion the integration of advanced AI-driven workflows across the production lifecycle, driving efficiency without sacrificing creative excellence.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Pipeline&Production Management Own and govern the full production pipeline from ideation, scripting, and storyboarding through to post-production, QA, and multi-platform delivery. Design, document, and continuously optimise production workflows, ensuring seamless handoffs between creative, animation, audio, and post teams.Set realistic schedules and milestones, proactively manage risks, and resolve bottlenecks without compromising creative quality. Oversee asset management, versioning systems, and archival processes for all production materials. Maintain rigorous QA checkpoints at every stage, with specific lenses on child-safety compliance, educational value, and platform technical specifications.Creative Development&Ideation Collaborate with creative directors, writers, and curriculum consultants during the ideation phase to ensure concepts are developmentally appropriate and engaging for children aged 0–6. Provide constructive production feedback on scripts, storyboards, animatics, and style frames, balancing creative ambition with production feasibility.Champion brand consistency in visual language, character voice, pacing, and educational messaging across all content. AI-Integrated Production Lead the adoption and integration of advanced AI tools across the pipeline— including AI-assisted scripting, voice generation, background generation, animation assistance, and automated QA tools.Evaluate emerging AI platforms on a continuous basis, running structured pilots and building internal best-practice documentation. Train and upskill team members on AI-augmented workflows, fostering a culture of responsible, human-centred AI adoption. Establish guardrails to ensure AI-generated content meets ethical standards, child-safety policies, and brand guidelines.Team Leadership&Vendor Management Lead, mentor, and performance-manage a cross-functional production team comprising producers, animators, editors, sound designers, and QA specialists. Source, onboard, and manage external studios, freelancers, and technology vendors; negotiate contracts and ensure delivery standards.Foster a psychologically safe, collaborative, and creatively energised team environment. Budget&Resource Planning Develop and manage episode and series budgets in close partnership with the Finance and Executive teams. Track actuals vs. budget throughout production; provide regular variance reports with actionable commentary. Optimise resource allocation across concurrent projects to maximise throughput and minimise idle time.Stakeholder Communication&Reporting Serve as the primary production point of contact for internal stakeholders— Content Strategy, Marketing, Platform, and Leadership teams. Deliver clear, timely status reporting on all active productions, escalating risks and decisions promptly. Represent the Production function in cross-departmental planning and roadmap discussions.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS&EXPERIENCE 6–10 years of progressive experience in video production, with at minimum 3 years in a lead or supervisory production role. Demonstrated experience producing content for children, with strong working knowledge of age-appropriate content standards and child development principles for the 0–6 agegroup.
