Research And Development Manager (North Goa)

3-15 years in R&D;/product development in a manufacturing environment (Only candidates from adhesives, coatings, tapes, polymers, or similar industry will be considered). Directly share resumes on Core Job Responsibilities expected outcomes of a role : 1. Develop new adhesive tape products (PSA, acrylic, rubber, silicone-based, etc.) as per market and customer needs 2. Improve existing formulations for better performance, cost, and process efficiency 3.Scale up lab formulations to pilot and commercial production 4.Support current product trials and commercialization 5.Select and qualify raw materials (adhesives, backings, coatings, release liners) 5.Work closely with suppliers for technical improvements and alternate materials 6.Evaluate cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality 1. Establish and monitor test methods for peel adhesion, tack, shear, ageing, and environmental resistance 2. Analyze failures, customer complaints, and field performance issues 3. Ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards 10.Provide technical support to production, quality, and maintenance teams 11.Troubleshoot coating, curing, slitting, and conversion issues 12.Support continuous improvement and yield enhancement initiatives 13. Maintain product specifications, formulations, SOPs, and test reports 1. Support audits, certifications, and customer technical approvals 2. Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in R&D; activities. Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations for product launches Skill Set Required : Strong knowledge of formulations, coatings, polymers, and materials science.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory testing and pilot trials.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and scale-up challenges.
