Guires is a leading global provider of advanced Contract Research, Development & Pilot manufacturing organization (CDMO), and regulatory and intellectual property (IP) expertise. We are geared up to support and accelerate the development and pilot manufacturing for food, beverages, nutraceuticals, supplements, pet food and nutrition & herbals development. Job Function/Role Summary The Academic Outreach and Publication Manager will oversee all academic and publication-related activities at FRL. This role includes campaign planning, research publication, academic networking, and compliance with journal guidelines. The manager will ensure the impact, visibility, and credibility of FRL’s research by collaborating with journals, universities, and other stakeholders. Travel Limited travel required (10%-20%) for conferences, academic events, and networking opportunities. Work Schedule: Primarily desk-based activities involving computer work, research coordination, and communication. Full Time, Monday to Saturday, 10:00a.m. to 7:00pm. Hours may vary on occasion, depending on workload. Physical Activities Physical Activities: Enters and locates information on a computer. Visually verifies information, often in small print. Communicates with Customers, Vendors, or Employees via telephone, in person, and/or electronic mail. May present information to small or large groups. Must be able to work in various temperatures. Req. Qualification: Pursuing Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Nutraceuticals, Food Science, Cosmeceuticals, or a related field. Certification in research methodology or publication ethics preferred. Req. Experience:
- Freshers or intern Experience
- Proven track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Experience in academic or industry partnerships is a plus. Req. Knowledge and Skills:
· Academic Knowledge: Expertise in research methodologies, glycemic index protocols, and nutraceuticals.
· Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for articles and networking.
· Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple academic and publication tasks effectively.
· Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of journal guidelines, publication ethics, and compliance processes.
· Technical Skills: Familiarity with academic platforms (e.g., PubMed, ResearchGate, Google Scholar).
· Data Management: Ability to monitor citations, downloads, and article impacts.
· Networking Skills: Capability to establish partnerships with universities, journals, and research institutions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Campaign Planning
- Identify and plan publication topics across industries, ensuring relevance to nutraceuticals, food, and cosmeceuticals.
- Conduct campaigns to identify and align emerging research topics for publication. 2. Article Development
- Write and publish review articles in peer-reviewed journals on a quarterly basis.
- Ensure articles are of high quality and meet journal-specific guidelines. 3. Compliance and Quality Control
- Review articles for quality, accuracy, and adherence to journal ethics before submission.
- Ensure all articles comply with journal-specific submission criteria. 4. Academic Networking and Collaboration
- Build partnerships with universities and research institutions.
- Coordinate with journal editors to facilitate article submission and feedback.
- Participate in conferences to present FRL’s research and enhance visibility. 5. Publication Impact Tracking
- Monitor citations, downloads, and academic reach of published articles.
- Prepare monthly reports on publication metrics and academic outreach activities. 6. Research Grants and Funding
- Identify and apply for relevant research grants.
- Develop collaborative grant proposals with academic and industry partners. 7. Mentorship and Training
- Mentor graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in research and publication processes.
- Develop FRL profiles on academic platforms like ResearchGate and Google Scholar. 8. Knowledge Transfer
- Contribute research data to public databases like PubMed.
- Identify intellectual property opportunities and collaborate with the IP team for patents. Key Performance Indicator
