Role Overview TatvaOps is building an execution-first, AI-powered platform for project management in construction and home improvement. We believe that financial integrity is the foundation of trust. We are looking for a Finance & Compliance Associate who views accounting as a system to be optimized, not just a set of books to be kept. This role is for a builder who wants to design intelligence and clarity into our financial workflows. You will be responsible for ensuring that every invoice, tax filing, and regulatory requirement is handled with the same precision we bring to our construction sites. Core Responsibilities 1. Bookkeeping & Financial Integrity ● Maintain core bookkeeping and financial records to ensure absolute accuracy, transparency, and "audit-ready" status. ● Manage the full invoicing cycle, ensuring timely revenue recognition and proactive collections. ● Perform rigorous bank, vendor, and inter-company reconciliations to maintain data integrity. 2. Tax & Statutory Compliance ● GST & TDS Management: Execute end-to-end GST filings (GSTR-1, 3B) and TDS returns. ● Tax Reconciliation: Meticulously reconcile GST and TDS transactions (GSTR-2B vs. Books) to ensure zero leakage and proper compliance. ● Corporate Compliance: Support all ROC filings, Income Tax submissions, and regulatory reporting requirements. ● Local Laws: Manage registrations and periodic filings for Skilled Tax (PT) and the Shops & Establishment Act. 3. Process Engineering & Automation ● SOP Development: Assist in creating and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline financial processes. ● System Automation: Identify opportunities to use technology and AI tools to automate manual workflows, reducing errors in invoicing and reporting. ● Scaling Operations: Ensure financial systems are robust enough to support a fast-growing marketplace and project ecosystem. 4. Audit & Reporting ● Prepare monthly MIS reports, including P&L; and Cash Flow statements, to drive data-backed decision-making. ● Lead the coordination for annual statutory filings and provide all necessary documentation for external audits. Required Skills & Capabilities ● Technical Expertise: Robust understanding of GST, TDS, ROC regulations, and Indian accounting standards. ● Software Proficiency: High proficiency in Tally Prime, Zoho Books, or similar ERPs, and advanced MS Excel skills. ● Execution Mindset: A structured, methodical approach to validation and checks. ● Systems Thinking: Ability to explain the "why" behind a process, not just the "how". Preferred Background ● Education: B.Com, M.Com, or Inter-CA/CS , MBA , BBA ● Experience: 0-1 years in a fast-paced startup or a process-heavy finance environment. ● Culture Fit: Comfortable working in an unstructured, fast-moving environment where ownership is expected.
