Senior Software Engineer (Python/Java) (HSR Layout)

About SwarnaSquare: SwarnaSquare is building a vertical SaaS platform for jewellery retailers and chains, powering both front-of-house (POS) and back-of-house (ERP) operations. Jewellery retail is operationally complex—inventory tracking, billing precision, multi-store workflows, and integrations across systems. We’re solving this by building a tightly integrated platform that enables businesses to sell, manage, and scale seamlessly across online and offline channels. What you’ll work on: You’ll be part of the Platform Team, which owns the core systems that power order processing, inventory workflows, and business-critical automations. This includes:
- High-throughput backend services
- ERP-grade workflows (inventory, billing, reconciliation)
- Data pipelines and internal tooling These systems are mission-critical—they directly impact revenue, operations, and reliability for our customers. Your role: As a Senior Software Engineer on the team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of individual components in our core order processing and workflow automation products. You will be working with the core Engineering team to build new features and improve existing ones. You will:
- Design and build backend services for core product workflows (orders, inventory, billing, etc.)
- Own features end-to-end: design → implementation → testing → deployment → monitoring
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code in Java and/or Python
- Debug complex production issues and drive them to resolution independently
- Build and optimize APIs used across multiple internal and external systems
- Write robust unit and integration tests to ensure high reliability
- Analyze performance bottlenecks (DB queries, APIs, services) and optimize them
- Work closely with product and support teams to understand real customer problems
- Participate in on-call rotations and take ownership of production stability
- Contribute to code reviews and improve engineering standards across the team We are looking for someone who has/is:
- 3–5 years of experience building backend systems using Java and/or Python
- Solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design
- Experience building and scaling RESTful APIs
- Hands-on experience with frameworks like Django, FastAPI, Spring Boot, etc.
- Solid understanding of OOP, modular design, and writing extensible systems
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and data modeling
- Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.) Job Type & Compensation
