Role Overview The Electrical Design Engineer – Electrical & Automation (E&A;) will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical and automation systems for heavy machinery and industrial plant applications. The role involves electrical system design, automation integration, PLC/SCADA implementation, commissioning support, and coordination with cross-functional engineering and project teams. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in industrial electrical systems, automation technologies, control systems, and heavy equipment applications, with the ability to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant and machinery operations. Key Responsibilities
• Design electrical systems for mining machinery such as crushers, mills, and mobile processing plants.
• Develop electrical schematics, layouts, and single-line diagrams for plant power distribution and control systems.
• Select and specify electrical components including motors, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, sensors, and control panels.
• Design and implement automation systems using PLC, SCADA, and HMI for machine and plant operations.
• Conduct testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical and automation systems.
• Integrate electrical and automation systems with mechanical equipment in collaboration with design teams.
• Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, and field teams to support installation and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety regulations, and mining industry requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and support project execution. Key Skills & Competencies o Strong expertise in Electrical Design and Industrial Automation Systems o Experience in PLC Programming, SCADA Systems, and HMI Development o Knowledge of Industrial Control Systems, MCCs, VFDs, Switchgear, and Power Distribution o Experience in Electrical Schematics, Single-Line Diagrams, and Control Panel Design o Solid understanding of Electrical Safety Standards and Industrial Compliance o Expertise in Testing, Commissioning, and Troubleshooting of Electrical Systems o Ability to coordinate with cross-functional engineering and project teams o Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills o Experience in Heavy Equipment, Mining Machinery, Industrial Plants, Capital Equipment, or Manufacturing industries preferred Qualifications & Experience Ø Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related discipline Ø 5–10 years of experience in electrical design and automation within heavy equipment, industrial machinery, or manufacturing sectors Ø Experience with industrial automation platforms and electrical design tools preferred Interested candidates may apply here or share their resume at .
