Job Summary The Head Chef is responsible for overseeing food preparation, maintaining product quality standards, managing kitchen operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring hygiene and food safety compliance. The role involves recipe standardization, inventory control, production planning, and maintaining consistency in taste and presentation for FMCG food products.
Key Responsibilities Supervise and manage daily kitchen and food production operations. Develop and standardize recipes for consistent product quality. Ensure all food products are prepared according to company standards. Monitor food quality, taste, freshness, and presentation. Maintain hygiene and food safety standards as per company policy and statutory regulations. Train and supervise kitchen staff, helpers, and production workers. Plan daily production schedules based on demand and sales forecasts. Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the purchase department for raw materials. Minimize food wastage and control production costs. Ensure proper storage and handling of food ingredients. Conduct quality checks on raw materials and finished products. Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure proper usage. Prepare production and inventory reports for management. Coordinate with the sales and operations teams for product availability and current product development.
Requirements
Educational Qualification Diploma / Degree in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, Food Production, or related field.
Experience 10+ years of experience in food production or commercial kitchen operations. Experience in FMCG food production is preferred. Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role is required.
Skills Required Robust leadership and team management skills. Excellent knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards. Inventory and cost control management. Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines. Valuable communication and organizational skills.
Pay: ₹80,000.00
- ₹100,000.00 per month
