ORA is committed to creating a nurturing ecosystem where holistic growth and curiosity thrive.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Goa, India, for a Mentor specializing in Carpentry or Woodworking. The Mentor will be responsible for guiding and teaching students in essential carpentry and woodworking skills. Daily tasks include designing and leading hands-on woodworking projects, instructing students in the safe and effective use of tools, fostering creativity and craftsmanship, and ensuring a safe working environment. The Mentor will also contribute to curriculum planning and support learners in building both technical and life skills through woodworking.Qualifications Experience in teaching school children Experience in Carpentry and Finish Carpentry skills, including constructing, installing, and repairing wood structures and fixtures Proficiency in the safe use of Power Tools and Hand Tools Knowledge and experience in Framing and woodworking techniquesAbility to inspire and mentor students in a hands-on learning environment Strong communication and organizational skills to plan and execute woodworking projects Familiarity with educational programs and approaches for personalized skill-building is an advantage Prior teaching or mentoring experience is a preferred qualificationPassion for working with students and fostering creativity and technical skills
