We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Draftsman / Design Engineer to join our team and lead our drawing documentation processes. Job Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise 2D and 3D computer-aided design (CAD) models and manufacturing drawings. Your primary focus will be generating accurate General Arrangement (GA) drawings, detailed component drawings, and bill of materials (BOM) for our range of couplings and expansion joints to support sales, client approvals, and production. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed General Arrangement (GA) drawings based on customer specifications and technical requirements for project approvals.
- Create accurate 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models of versatile couplings, metallic/non-metallic expansion joints, and related assemblies.
- Review customer inputs, datasheets, and technical specifications to ensure design compliance.
- Generate comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM) for the production and procurement teams.
- Coordinate with the sales and engineering teams to modify drawings based on client feedback or manufacturing constraints.
- Maintain and organize the company's internal drawing database, tracking revisions and design changes systematically. Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, or a certified ITI Draftsman course.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in CAD drafting, preferably within a heavy engineering, fabrication, or industrial components manufacturing setup. (Experience specific to couplings, piping components, or expansion joints is a major plus).
- Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) is mandatory. Experience with 3D modeling software like SolidWorks, Inventor, or Solid Edge is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of engineering drawing standards, projections, tolerances, and symbols.
- Familiarity with reading industrial datasheets and technical specifications.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes like fabrication, machining, and welding.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, good communication skills for internal collaboration, and the ability to meet project deadlines. Pay: ₹12,000.00
