QA Test Engineer (Newtown)

We are looking for a detail‑oriented and skilled QA Tester with strong experience in manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate should be proficient in industry-standard tools like JIRA / HP ALM, possess solid knowledge of requirements traceability, and be capable of crafting high‑quality test scripts, executing functional tests, and leveraging GenAI-driven testing tools. Experience in usability testing, web application testing, and familiarity with performance testing is a plus. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of experience in software testing (manual + automation). Key Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and maintain complete requirements traceability from user story to test case, ensuring full coverage.
- Design, develop, and execute manual test cases and test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and usability testing.
- Create, maintain, and execute automation test scripts using automation frameworks and AI‑powered testing tools.
- Use JIRA, HP ALM, or similar tools for defect logging, test management, planning, and reporting.
- Review system specifications and collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to ensure clarity of requirements.
- Conduct thorough web application testing, including UI/UX validation, responsive checks, workflow validation, and browser compatibility.
- Perform usability testing to evaluate intuitiveness, end‑user experience, and accessibility.
- Apply GenAI automation tools for test case generation, script generation, defect analysis, and optimization of test coverage.
- Participate in Agile activities such as daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Identify, track, and retest defects, ensuring clear documentation and thorough regression cycles.
- (Good to Have) Assist in performance testing using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar. Required Skills
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and test methodologies.
- Experience in manual functional testing, web application testing, and UI/UX validation.
- Ability to create traceability matrices, detailed test cases, and robust test scripts.
- (Supported by industry expectations for test scenario creation and requirement analysis) Tools & Platforms Hands-on experience with:
- JIRA – test case management, defect tracking, sprint workflows.
- HP ALM / QC – requirements mapping, test planning, execution, and defect lifecycle.
- Exposure to AI-driven test tools for test case generation or automation support.
- (Reflects strong trending adoption of AI-powered test management in JIRA environments) Automation
- Experience with test automation frameworks/tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
- Ability to design and maintain automation scripts and interpret automation results.

- Understanding of CI/CD pipeline integration, Git, or version control workflows (preferred). Usability & Web Testing
- Strong understanding of usability principles, user flows, and intuitive design assessment.
- Experience testing web apps across browsers, devices, and environments. Good to Have
