Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our energetic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of financial principles and practices, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy of financial records and supporting the overall financial management of the organisation.

Duties Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and records. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections. Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support financial planning. Provide mentorship to junior staff members, fostering their professional development. Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft to streamline processes. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support operational decisions.

Skills Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft. Strong understanding of accounts payable and financial accounting principles. Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to mentor and guide junior team members effectively. Knowledge of financial services and financial management practices. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective collaboration across teams.
