Role Overview The Associate / Dean Academics is responsible for overseeing academic governance, curriculum planning, quality assurance, faculty management, examination processes, and compliance with university norms (CNV). The role ensures smooth academic operations while maintaining institutional standards of excellence. Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Governance & Compliance
• Ensure adherence to institutional policies, academic regulations, and CNV norms.
• Support academic council meetings and implement approved resolutions.
• Monitor academic compliance across departments.
2. Curriculum Development
• Lead curriculum planning, revision, and implementation.
• Coordinate session planning and obtain necessary approvals as per CNV guidelines.
• Ensure curriculum alignment with industry standards and academic benchmarks.
3. Quality Assurance
• Oversee quality standards in teaching-learning processes.
• Monitor program delivery effectiveness.
• Review faculty feedback and student performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
4. Faculty Management
• Identify faculty requirements and lead recruitment & selection processes.
• Oversee onboarding and retention strategies for new faculty.
• Manage faculty development initiatives (training, workshops, FDPs).
• Conduct performance evaluations and mentoring.
5. Examination & Academic Control
• Act as Controller of Examinations (as applicable).
• Supervise examination planning, scheduling, and execution.

• Ensure all academic processes strictly comply with CNV regulations.
• Maintain documentation and reports for audits and inspections.
7. Academic Planning & Professional Development
• Plan academic calendars and coordinate co-curricular activities.
• Encourage extension and career development initiatives.
• Support student engagement beyond classroom activities.
8. Research & Academic Contributions
• Promote research activities and publications among faculty.
• Encourage participation in conferences, seminars, and industry collaborations.
• Support institutional research goals and academic rankings.
9. Student Grievance Redressal
• Oversee academic-related student grievances.
• Ensure timely resolution in coordination with concerned departments.
• Maintain transparency and fairness in grievance handling.
10. Marketing & Academic Promotion
• Support academic marketing initiatives.
• Provide academic inputs for brochures, accreditation, and promotional materials.
• Participate in outreach and institutional branding activities.
11. Budgeting & Financial Approvals

12. Unplanned / Adhoc Academic Activities
