Warehouse Operations Manager (Maharashtra)

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Warehouse Operations Manager to lead end-to-end warehouse and fulfillment operations for a fast-growing D2C/e-commerce brand, preferably within the fashion industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inbound and outbound operations, inventory control, logistics coordination, team leadership, and warehouse P&L; ownership while ensuring operational excellence and cost efficiency. This role requires strong expertise in high-volume order fulfillment, warehouse process optimization, SLA management, and team handling in a fast-paced D2C environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Inbound Operations (Inward)
- Manage end-to-end receiving, GRN processing, put-away, and system updates
- Ensure timely inwarding of inventory with proper quality checks and documentation
- Coordinate with suppliers, procurement teams, and transport partners for smooth intake operations
- Minimize discrepancies, damages, and delays during inbound processes
- Ensure adherence to SOPs and inventory accuracy during inwarding 2. Outbound Operations (Fulfillment & Dispatch)
- Oversee picking, packing, dispatch, and shipment handover processes
- Ensure high order accuracy and adherence to same-day/next-day dispatch SLAs
- Optimize warehouse workflows to improve picking and packing efficiency
- Monitor daily order flow and proactively resolve operational bottlenecks
- Ensure packaging standards align with brand and operational requirements 3. Logistics Management
- Manage courier aggregators and shipping partners for last-mile delivery operations
- Monitor shipment tracking, delivery performance, delays, and escalations
- Drive freight optimization and control logistics costs
- Track and improve RTO (Return to Origin) metrics and delivery success rates
- Build strong relationships with logistics and vendor partners for operational efficiency 4. Inventory Management
- Maintain high inventory accuracy across WMS/ERP systems
- Conduct regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation activities
- Control shrinkage, stock damages, and inventory discrepancies
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO compliance and proper stock rotation practices
- Coordinate inventory planning to support demand fulfillment and avoid stock-outs 5. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead warehouse supervisors, floor staff, and operational teams
- Plan manpower allocation, shift schedules, and daily task assignments
- Define KPIs and monitor productivity, accuracy, and turnaround times
- Train, mentor, and develop team members for operational excellence
- Foster a culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement 6. P&L; Ownership & Cost Management
- Own and manage warehouse and fulfillment P&L;
- Monitor and control key operational costs including:
- Warehousing expenses (rent, utilities, manpower)
- Logistics and shipping costs
- Packaging and consumables
- Track cost per order and identify process improvement opportunities
- Drive profitability through operational efficiency and cost optimization
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, MIS reports, and monthly performance reviews Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in warehouse and fulfillment operations
- Mandatory experience in D2C or e-commerce brands
- Preference for candidates from the fashion/apparel/lifestyle industry
- Experience handling high-volume fulfillment operations
- Hands-on exposure to WMS/ERP systems and inventory tools Preferred Candidate Profile
