SAP Functional Solution Architect (Maharashtra)

Role Summary The SAP S/4HANA Functional Solution Architect will be responsible for end‑to‑end solution design, functional governance, and business transformation leadership across SAP S/4HANA programs. This role works closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and technical architects to ensure scalable, clean‑core, and industry‑aligned SAP solutions . The architect acts as the functional authority across multiple SAP streams and plays a critical role in pre‑sales, program delivery, and solution assurance . Key Responsibilities Solution Architecture & Design Own end‑to‑end SAP S/4HANA solution architecture across functional domains (OTC, PTP, preferred etc.). Define to‑be business processes aligned with SAP Best Practices and industry standards. Ensure architectural compliance across: Core S/4 Add‑ons Integrations Reporting & analytics Program & Delivery Leadership Provide functional oversight across multiple SAP workstreams. Review and approve: Functional designs Configuration strategy WRICEF rationalization Proactively manage cross‑process dependencies and risks . Act as design authority during solution reviews, design freezing, and release milestones. Business & Stakeholder Engagement Partner with process owners, and IT leadership to translate business strategy into SAP solutions. Facilitate: Fit‑to‑Standard workshops Design thinking sessions Gap prioritization discussions Ensure alignment between business outcomes and SAP capabilities . Pre‑Sales & Advisory Support Support pre‑sales engagements including: Solution definition RFP responses Estimation reviews Architecture decks Articulate value‑based SAP transformation stories to clients. Mentor presales and solution teams on SAP S/4 best practices. Governance & Quality Assurance Establish and enforce: Functional design standards Configuration governance Documentation templates Ensure regulatory and compliance alignment where applicable. Provide guidance on data migration, testing strategy, and cutover approach. Required Skills & Experience SAP Functional Expertise 12 years of SAP functional experience. Strong hands‑on expertise in S/4HANA (On‑Prem / Public / Private Cloud) . Deep knowledge in one or more core areas: Supply Chain (MM/SD/PP/QM) Proven experience leading large S/4 transformation programs . Architecture & Process Knowledge Strong understanding of: SAP Best Practices Fit‑to‑Standard methodologies Clean Core architecture Experience with: SAP BTP (integration/extensibility concepts) SAP Activate methodology Ability to design solutions with minimal customization . Stakeholder & Leadership Skills Excellent communication and executive‑level presentation skills. Proven ability to influence senior business stakeholders. Experience mentoring functional leads and solution consultants. Solid analytical and decision‑making capabilities. Nice‑to‑Have Skills Experience with industry verticals such as: Manufacturing CPG Life Sciences Semiconductor Exposure to: SAP Signavio SAP LeanIX SAP Analytics Cloud Prior experience in consulting or SI environments . Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technology, or Business. SAP S/4HANA certification(s) preferred. MBA or equivalent is an added advantage.
