Key duties and responsibilities : Installation and Repair : Installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, valves, plumbing fixtures (sinks, toilets, tubs), and water heaters. System Maintenance: Inspecting and testing plumbing systems for leaks, malfunctions, or safety hazards. Blueprint Analysis: Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to plan pipe layouts and installations. Material Handling: Measuring, cutting, bending, and threading pipes (PVC, copper, cast iron) using specialized tools. Troubleshooting: Diagnosing issues in drainage, water supply, and heating systems to provide effective solutions. Compliance & Safety: Adhering to local, state, and national plumbing codes and safety regulations. Customer Service: Discussing issues with clients, providing cost estimates, and delivering skilled service. Preventive Care: Carrying out routine maintenance on mechanical and plumbing equipment.

Requirements and skills : Proven experience as a plumber Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings Working knowledge of heating and ventilation systems as well as appliances Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.) Good communication and interpersonal skills Friendly with a excellent deal of patience Positive physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces
