Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Career Counselor role based in Patna. The Career Counselor will guide students in understanding their interests, strengths, and goals, and help them explore suitable academic and career pathways. Responsibilities include conducting one-on-one and group counseling sessions, administering and interpreting basic career assessments, and providing information on courses, exams, and educational opportunities. The role involves collaborating with faculty and mentors to align career guidance with students’ academic progress and needs. The Career Counselor will also maintain accurate counseling records, conduct follow-ups with students and families, and contribute to workshops or seminars on career awareness and planning. Qualifications Strong skills in Career Counseling and Student Counseling, with the ability to support diverse learners in an empathetic, unbiased manner. Knowledge of Career Development and Career Management principles, including goal setting, planning, and monitoring progress. Excellent Communication skills, including active listening, clear explanation of options, and confident group facilitation. Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Counseling, Social Sciences, or a related field; relevant certifications in career counseling are an advantage. Prior experience working with school or college students, ideally in an academic or coaching environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality, accurate documentation, and professional boundaries while working closely with students and families.
