Job Description Civil Engineer (Finishing & Interior Works) Department: Civil Finishing / Interiors Role Objective To execute and manage all finishing and interior-related civil activities ensuring high-quality workmanship, aesthetic precision, and coordination with architectural and MEP teams for timely project completion. The role demands deep expertise in material application, detailing, and team supervision. Key Responsibilities Supervise and execute finishing works such as plastering, screeding, tiling, marble fixing, painting, doors, window, glass fixing, wall paneling, joinery, false ceiling, and flooring, Facade works (Interior/exterior) etc.

Check line, level, and plumb using laser tools during execution to ensure accuracy. Ensure finishing tolerances as per IS 2571 and architectural standards. Coordinate with interior designers for detailing, sample approvals, and mock-ups. Verify substrate preparation, curing, and material compatibility before finishing. Monitor curing, temperature, and humidity critical for quality control. Manage finishing material inventory, ensure minimal wastage, and verify supplier quality. Coordinate with procurement for timely delivery of materials and fittings. Interface with MEP teams to ensure concealed services are completed before finishing starts. Prepare snag lists, punch points, and handover reports after quality checks. Implement safety measures during cutting, polishing, and painting activities. Key Skills & Technical Expertise In-depth knowledge of plastering, tiling, marble fixing, painting, and decorative finishes. Ability to interpret architectural drawings, RCPs, and joinery details. Delivering high-end finishes for hospitality, corporate, or ropeway terminal projects. Understanding of moisture control, curing time, and environmental impacts on finishes. Expertise in screed gradients, leveling, and finishing alignment techniques. Knowledge of adhesives, primers, sealants, and modern finishing materials. Proficiency in MS Excel, measurement verification, and site reporting documentation. Solid leadership to manage multiple finishing teams with efficiency. Qualification & Experience Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering / ITI Civil / Vocational Certificate in Finishing Works Experience: 3-8 years in finishing and interior supervision for commercial, or infrastructure projects.
