R&D Engineer (Manager/Sr. Manager) (Uttarakhand)

Job Responsibilities 1. To develop new products as defined by the Management. 2. To review the current product range with respect to design & development for improvement in PQCDSM (Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, Morale) through efficient Value Analysis & Value Engineering. 3. Guide Purchase team in procurement with optimum technical parameters for new product development. 4. Product release note with all technical parameters (critical functionality, production process requirement, maintenance and service requirement, CTQ points) included after pilot batch approval and circulated to Production, Purchase, Quality, Maintenance & Service team. 5. To coordinate for manufacturability of new products with cross functional team consisting of Production, Quality, Purchase, Service, Maintenance and establish effective process flow for manufacturing. 6. Develop parts of new product with the help of sourcing, vendor development & Cross Functional Team (Production, Quality, Purchase & Store). 7. Process Include
- Feasibility Study, Product Cost Estimation, Concept Design, Design Review, Make or Buy Decision, Prototype Building, Bill of Material, Pilot Batch Production, Product Release, Product Verification, Carry out required design changes/improvement in existing products with CFT. 8. Maintain records of all new product design as well as changes/improvement in existing products (NPD, ECR/ECN, Drawings). 9. Make and test Prototype of new product. 10. Evaluate and execute latest technologies used by suppliers, competitors, and customers. 11. Establish timelines for NPD with CFT. 12. Research, design and evaluate materials, assemblies, processes, and equipment for new products. 13. Impart product training to CFT, Sales & Management for latest/new developments in market, competitor behaviour & supplier. A. Assist the R&D; Function B. General Responsibilities 1.
