Engineer - Electrical (Pavagada)

Job Purpose: The Engineer / Sr. Engineer Electrical will be responsible for overall execution, supervision, and coordination of electrical activities at solar project sites. This includes installation, testing, and commissioning of solar plant components such as modules, inverters, transformers, HT/LT panels, cables, SCADA systems, and earthing systems. The role ensures safety, quality, and timely project completion. Key Responsibilities: 1. Execution & Installation
- Ensure proper installation of solar modules, inverters, transformers, HT/LT panels, SCADA systems, and earthing systems
- Oversee cable laying, routing, termination, and dressing
- Monitor electrical erection progress as per project schedule 2. Testing & Commissioning
- Conduct and support electrical testing activities (IR, continuity, relay testing, etc.)
- Assist in commissioning of substation equipment, solar PV systems, and SCADA
- Coordinate with DISCOM/grid authorities for synchronization and approvals 3. Coordination & Planning
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and quality teams for seamless execution
- Work with contractors and vendors for project progress and issue resolution
- Participate in inspections, audits, and statutory compliance activities 4. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain DPR (Daily Progress Reports), inspection logs, and material usage reports
- Handle project documentation, drawings, and submission records
- Support billing verification and quantity reconciliation for electrical scope 5. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to electrical safety standards and site protocols
- Follow statutory regulations and DISCOM/grid compliance requirements Eligibility Criteria: Education:
- B.E / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering Experience:
- Minimum: 2 years
- Preferred: 57 years
- Experience in solar EPC / electrical project execution is mandatory Age Criteria:
- Minimum: 25 years
- Preferred: Up to 29 years Required Skills & Competencies: Technical Skills:
- Robust knowledge of electrical systems in solar projects
- Hands-on experience in testing tools (multimeter, megger, clamp meter)
- Understanding of SCADA systems and inverter operations
- Knowledge of substation equipment and grid connectivity Functional Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings (SLD, layouts, etc.)
- Experience in handling site execution and contractors
- Familiarity with safety procedures and work permits Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project
- Exposure to ERP/SAP systems
