As a Magento developer, you will be responsible for liaising with the design team, setting up Magento 1x and 2x sites, building modules and customizing extensions, testing the performance of each site, and maintaining security and feature updates after the installation is complete.To ensure success as a Magento developer, you should have excellent object-orientated programming knowledge, hold strong skills to do a Magento development, and should be able to manage the client requirement. Ultimately, a high-level Magento developer can build and maintain a user-friendly eCommerce platform that perfectly meets the needs of the client.Roles&Responsibilities Building and configuring Magento 2x eCommerce websites. Coding of the Magento templates. Developing Magento modules in PHP using best practices. Designing themes and interfaces. Updating website features and security patches. Custom Module Development and Integrations. Bug fixing&Performance tuning of the platform or the application. Code versioning&tagging for releases. Code optimization and refactoring. Build question logs on requirements on time and communicate clearly to the Tech lead / Client respectively Understand and work on source applications such as wordpress, Magento, Shopify, etc. Troubleshoot and resolve configuration and system issues.Required Key Skills Should have 2 + years of Web development experience with expertise in Magento (Plugin / Theme development / API) in ecommerce domain. 2 years of experience in Magento 2.0+. Extensive backend development experience in building custom modules. Experience in Magento&3rd party API extension&development respectively. Proficient in PHP7 and MySQL. Strong Experience in Magento Community&Enterprise edition. Knowledge on Magento Cloud. Good in Magento plug-ins/extensions development. Good understanding on HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, Knockout and CSS. Exposure to Magento PWA, Node.js and React.js is an added advantage. Good understanding of OOPs concepts in PHP, Object Oriented Design (OOAD), Design Patterns, MVC.Familiar with technologies including XML, web service, JQuery, FBML and Facebook connect. Exposure to development Tools like PHPStrom, Eclipse and NetBeans for PHP. Magento 2.0 Professional/Associate Developer Certification is a plus.
