Plumber (Rohini)

Job Summary A Plumber in a hotel is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining all plumbing systems to ensure smooth hotel operations and guest comfort. The role includes maintenance of water supply systems, drainage, sanitation, bathrooms, kitchens, laundry areas, swimming pools, and other hotel facilities while maintaining luxury hospitality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures.
- Inspect hotel plumbing systems regularly to identify leaks, blockages, or faults.
- Maintain guest room bathrooms, public washrooms, kitchens, laundry, and staff facilities.
- Repair water heaters, pumps, flushing systems, faucets, and sanitary equipment.
- Ensure uninterrupted hot and cold water supply throughout the hotel.
- Respond quickly to emergency plumbing complaints from guests or departments.
- Coordinate with the Engineering/Maintenance team for preventive maintenance schedules.
- Maintain plumbing tools and equipment in good condition.
- Follow safety procedures, hotel SOPs, and hygiene standards.
- Record maintenance activities and report major issues to supervisors.
- Assist during renovation or installation projects within the hotel property.
- Ensure compliance with local plumbing and safety regulations. Required Skills
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, water supply, and drainage systems.
- Ability to read plumbing layouts and technical drawings.
- Troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Basic knowledge of pumps, boilers, and water treatment systems.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations.
- Understanding of luxury hotel service standards. Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma in Plumbing or related trade preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of plumbing experience, preferably in hotels, hospitals, or commercial buildings.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures.
- Trade certification/license may be required depending on location. Working Conditions
- Rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- May require emergency call-duty.
- Physically demanding work involving lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for long hours. Pay: ₹17,000.00
