We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic German language teacher to teach students in Grades 6–7 following the IGCSE (Cambridge) curriculum. The role involves building foundational language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—while fostering cultural awareness and a love for foreign languages.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching & Curriculum Delivery

- Plan and deliver engaging German language lessons aligned with the IGCSE / Cambridge framework.

- Teach basic to intermediate German focusing on:


- Vocabulary and grammar

- Pronunciation and conversation skills

- Reading comprehension and writing

- Use interactive and communicative teaching methods (role play, activities, storytelling).

- Integrate audio-visual aids and digital tools to enhance learning.

2. Lesson Planning & Assessment

- Develop lesson plans, worksheets, and learning resources.

- Conduct regular assessments, quizzes, and oral evaluations.

- Monitor and track student progress.

- Provide constructive feedback and support improvement.

3. Classroom Management

- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

- Encourage participation and confidence in speaking a current language.

- Manage classroom behaviour effectively.

4. Language Skill Development

- Focus on all four core skills:


- Listening

- Speaking

- Reading

- Writing

- Encourage correct pronunciation and conversational fluency.

5. Cultural Exposure

- Introduce students to German culture, traditions, and basic geography.

- Organize language-related activities like German Day, quizzes, or cultural events.

6. Administrative & School Duties

- Maintain attendance, grades, and academic records.

- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school activities.

- Communicate with parents regarding student performance.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in German / Foreign Languages or related field.

- Certification in German language proficiency (e.g., Goethe-Institut levels such as A1–B2 preferred).

- B.Ed. or teaching qualification is an advantage.

Experience:

- 1–3 years of teaching experience in middle school or language teaching.

- Experience with international or IGCSE curriculum preferred.
