Structural Designer- Physical Substation (Pune)

- Review engineer inputs, understand the scope of work, and plan accordingly without altering the design intent.
- Prepare basic plant/site layouts, general arrangement drawings, reinforced concrete, and steelwork arrangement drawings that are transparent, accurate, and cost-effective.
- Visualize and produce 2D drawings using AutoCAD efficiently and proficiently. Knowledge and experience of 3D model using Civil 3D/Revit will be added advantage.
- Ensure the designs meet specifications, can be constructed safely, and adhere to environmental considerations.
- Ensure the use of standard practices and details wherever possible, adapting previous solutions to current projects.
- Follow quality procedures and processes, ensuring that all documentation, including drawings and records, is maintained throughout the project duration.
- Coordinate with BIM/CAD Leads, other discipline designers, and engineers to meet project requirements.
- Ensure proper drawing coordination with internal and external stakeholders to avoid discrepancies and ensure project success.
- Maintain documentation, including reinforcement and steelwork drawings, schedules, and records.
- Report any issues encountered in the detailing process to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Adhere to health and safety standards in all design and detailing activities.
- Consider environmental impacts in all aspects of work and strive to implement sustainable practices.

Specific Experience:
- Person Specifications:
- Degree/ Diploma in Civil Engineering; or I.T.I. Civil/ Draftsperson.
- 4-6 years for Degree/ Diploma holders; 10+ years for I.T.I. holders.
- Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD,
- Experience with Civil 3D, Autodesk Revit, CADS RC, Navisworks, and knowledge of MicroStation/Open Building is a plus.
- Experience in working within a BIM environment and using Common Data Environments like Bentley ProjectWise and Autodesk BIM 360.
- Familiarity with BS, Euro, AS/NZ, US code detailing practices.
