Database Engineer (Pune)

About Position: As an expert on MSSQL Database Administration with strong expertise in SQL Server administration, she/he needs to ensure the reliability, scalability, high availability and security of platforms by combining database administration expertise with automation-driven DevOps principles. She/he should manage mission‑critical SQL Server environments while building automated, scalable, and up-to-date data operations workflows. This role blends traditional DBA responsibilities with DevOps engineering to help evolve our database infrastructure into a more resilient, automated, and efficient ecosystem.

- Expertise on MSSQL Database is a must for on premise and cloud.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL is good to have.
- Knowledge of Markdown is good to have.
- A good knowledge of Database Administration and development.
- Support cloud-based SQL deployments (Azure SQL, Managed Instance, SQL on VMs)
- Help modernize legacy SQL workloads into automated or cloud-first architectures. Expertise You'll Bring:
- Perform database installations, upgrades, patches, and migrations with automation/GitOps approach.
- Administration and upgrade of the platforms supported by the team.
- Develop or support teams optimized databases.
- Develop tools for administration, testing, automated deployment, and monitoring of the solutions provided by the team.
- Collect the needs of the development and infrastructure teams, with a proactive and pedagogical approach in order to help them identify interesting cases based on the data available to them.
- Troubleshoot database issues, including deadlocks, blocking, long‑running queries, and resource bottlenecks.
- Coaching and Support to development and infrastructure teams on the tools recommended by the team. Benefits:
