Job Description: Telecaller – Loan / Lending Industry Job Summary We are looking for a results-driven and empathetic Telecaller to join our loan sales team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for potential borrowers. Your primary responsibility will be to connect with leads, understand their financial needs, explain our diverse loan products (Personal, Home, Business), and guide potential customers through the initial stages of the loan application process. An ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, a high level of patience, and the ability to build trust quickly over the phone while maintaining strict adherence to financial regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Outbound & Inbound Calling: Initiate outbound calls to verified leads, existing databases, and cold prospects; handle inbound inquiries regarding loan products. Need Assessment: Actively listen to prospects to understand their financial requirements, income stability, and funding urgency. Product Explanation: Educate clients on available loan options, interest rates, repayment tenures, processing fees, and eligibility criteria. Lead Qualification & Documentation: Screen leads based on internal credit parameters (income, credit score baselines) and collect preliminary details/soft copies of required documents. CRM Management: Accurately update and maintain the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system with call logs, customer notes, and next follow-up dates. Sales Pipeline Collaboration: Hand over qualified, interested leads to the Loan Officers or Field Sales team for final documentation and closure. Target Achievement: Meet or exceed daily call volume KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and monthly lead conversion targets. Compliance: Strictly follow company protocols, data privacy laws, and fair lending practices during all telephonic interactions. Required Skills & Qualifications Education: High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Marketing is a plus. Experience: 0–5 years of experience as a Telecaller, Inside Sales Representative, or Customer Support Agent. Direct experience in banking, NBFCs (Non-Banking Financial Companies), or fintech lending is highly preferred. Communication: Exceptional verbal communication and active listening skills in English and [Insert Regional Language if applicable]. Persuasion & Negotiation: Ability to handle objections calmly, counter financial hesitations, and guide the customer toward the next steps without being overly aggressive. Tech Savvy: Familiarity with CRM systems (like Salesforce, Zoho, or HubSpot) and cloud telephony tools (like Ameyo, Vicidial, or Exotel). Mathematical Aptitude: Basic understanding of financial terms like EMI (Equated Monthly Installments), ROI (Rate of Interest), and processing fees to explain straightforward calculations to clients.
