Organization: The Organisation Harley’s Fine Baking (), is a European style patisserie (premium cake selling company) created by an IIM professor to disrupt the cake and coffee market, established to spread bonafide taste of the streets of Manhattan across the world. Brought into the world from a love for baking, the desire to create a meeting place that serves delicious food with a warm rustic environment. The Organization offers a full scope of Breads, morning merchandise, cakes, baked and savoury goods. Currently the team size is of about 200 people with more than 15 outlets across Hyderabad, along with a plan of opening 100 new outlets across Mumbai, Goa, Vijayawada, Bangalore, Chennai scaling up to 1000 people over the next year. Designation: Pastry Chef (Commis I / Commis II / Commis III) Experience: Candidates with Fresher or 6 + month of experience in preparing pastries, cakes, and other baked goods in a commercial setting. Qualification: Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts, Baking, or Pastry from a recognized institution is preferred. Job Role: Assist in the preparation of high-quality pastries, cakes, and desserts, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation. Support the senior chefs in daily kitchen operations. Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake pastries, cakes, bread, and other baked items as per standardized recipes.
- Assist in designing and decorating cakes and other baked goods to meet company standards.
- Ensure that all products meet the company's quality, freshness, and presentation standards.
- Monitor ingredient freshness and maintain proper storage conditions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Properly handle kitchen equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist in managing inventory levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Notify the supervisor of low stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure effective kitchen operations.
- Follow instructions from senior chefs and contribute to a positive kitchen environment Skills Required:
- Proficiency in basic baking techniques, including mixing, shaping, and decorating.
- Precision in measuring ingredients and following recipes.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to work well in a team setting and take direction from senior staff. Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of different types of pastries, cakes, and desserts.
- Experience in cake decoration techniques, including fondant and icing.
