Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products. Oversee the entire production process, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality at all stages. Implement the core production manager roles and responsibilities including process optimization and quality control. Monitor production output and adjust schedules as needed to meet demand changes. Supervise production staff, assign tasks, and lead team training for skill enhancement. Collaborate with purchase, sales, quality, and project teams to align production with business objectives. Manage raw material inventory to ensure adequate stock without overstocking or wastage. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements throughout the production process. Identify and resolve production issues, bottlenecks, or delays quickly. Track production costs and take corrective actions to maintain budget control.

Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Production Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in production management or a similar leadership role. Solid understanding of production planning, quality standards, and process optimization. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in inventory management and manufacturing software (ERP systems preferred). Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.

Preferred Skills: Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Process Improvement. Experience working with cross-functional teams. Ability to adapt to changing production demands and tight deadlines.

Working Conditions: Full time role, typically based at a manufacturing plant or production facility. May require occasional weekend shifts or extended hours to meet production deadlines. Involves working closely with production equipment and operational teams.
