Job Summary:

The Continental Chef is responsible for preparing high-quality continental dishes, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. The role involves menu execution, hygiene compliance, and supporting overall café food standards.

Key Responsibilities: Prepare and present continental dishes such as pasta, sandwiches, burgers, salads, and breakfast items Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation as per standards Assist in menu planning and introducing new recipes Maintain kitchen hygiene and follow food safety standards (FSSAI guidelines) Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement for raw materials Minimize food wastage and control kitchen costs Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients (FIFO method) Work closely with service staff for timely order execution Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and workspace

Required Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of continental cuisine and cooking techniques Ability to handle kitchen operations in a quick-paced environment Positive understanding of food presentation and plating Time management and multitasking skills Teamwork and coordination abilities

Qualifications: Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts preferred Experience: 1–4 years in café, QSR, or restaurant kitchen
