Senior Java Developer -Vice President (Pune)

Oasys Financial is a sub-ledger for Citi’s OTC business and covers global trading books across all asset classes. This system handles millions of trades daily and conduct all sub-ledger activities, which is critical for the bank. We are looking to hire an experienced technologist with strong foundations in programming and architecture designs to take a hands-on role in modernizing and transforming Citi’s accounting platform. Candidates are expected to demonstrate strong delivery background in financial industry, preferably in OTC products. We expect depth of knowledge in Java stack. Candidate should be willing to drive re-architecture and lead by example. This role is based at Pune office and will have limited line management responsibilities, intentionally designed to meet project objectives. Candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, global technology teams to analyse, define & implement high-quality software solution. This position involves:
- Development of high-quality software, emphasizing simplicity, maintainability, and reuse.
- Participation in code and design reviews.
- Analyse requirements by working closely with the business and business aligned teams to define solutions.
- Effective communication with support, other development, and infrastructure teams.
- Contribution to architectural standards, development best practices, and promoting adherence to these standards.
- Implement best coding & testing practices within team. Required Skills:
- 10+ years of Java & related technologies experience in developing robust, scalable, and maintainable applications applying Object Oriented Design principles.
- Demonstrable experience on building big-data & caching solutions.
- Strong understanding of SQL & NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of HTTP, ReSTful web services and API design.
- Familiarity with Linux environment including scripting skills.
- Good understanding of Spring Framework and Kafka.
- Positive understanding of Enterprise integration patterns.
- Strong understanding of automating testing. Desirable Skills:
- Experience with distributed caching technologies.
- Working knowledge of a scripting language such as Groovy, Python, JavaScript, etc.
- Experience with API orchestration & Integration frameworks.
- Good understanding of the Linux OS.
- Good understanding of Cloud platforms.
- Good understanding of Observability & monitoring tools. Competencies:

- Ability to collaborate effectively in a large global team and influence key architectural decision.
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
- A self-starter and has the thirst to continually improve and develop.
