Information Technology Administrator (Pune)

Information Technology Administrator (Pune)
Description
About WeAgile : We are a leading technology firm that integrates strategy, design and software engineering to enable enterprises and technology disruptors across the globe to thrive as modern digital businesses. Ongoing digital disruption is challenging enterprises to keep pace with the accelerating rate of technological change. This is where WeAgile can help. We leverage our vast experience to improve our clients’ ability to respond to change; utilize data assets to unlock new sources of value; create adaptable technology platforms that move with business strategies; and rapidly design, deliver and evolve exceptional digital products and experiences at scale. About the Role We are looking for a hands-on IT Administrator to take complete ownership of our internal IT function. This is a sole-contributor role — you will be the go-to person for everything technology-related inside the company. The role demands the ability to operate with autonomy, prioritize ruthlessly, and serve a technical user base that has high expectations from their tools and systems. You will build the IT discipline of the company — putting in place the policies, asset tracking, and operational rigor that allow us to scale smoothly to the next stage of growth. Key Responsibilities 1. End-User Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all IT support requests across the company — laptops, peripherals, connectivity, software access, and tooling.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues across the workforce — understanding that downtime directly impacts product delivery.
- Maintain SLAs for ticket resolution and provide reliable, prompt support to the team. 2. IT Infrastructure & Systems
- Manage office network, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity (primary and failover), routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN.
- Administer the company's productivity suite, directory services, and SSO configurations.
- Manage BIOS, firmware, OS patches, and software updates across all employee endpoints.
- Coordinate with the engineering team on developer-tool access (source control, ticketing, communication, and CI/CD platforms) — provisioning, deprovisioning, and access reviews. 3. Security & Access Management
- Own the user account lifecycle — create, modify, and revoke access across all business tools, with strict offboarding discipline.
- Enforce password policies, mandatory MFA, and secure access controls.
- Manage email security — spam filtering, phishing protection, and incident response for suspicious emails.
- Deploy and maintain antivirus / endpoint protection and centralized device management.
- Ensure regular data backups and recovery readiness.
- Drive cybersecurity awareness — periodic training, phishing simulations, and policy communication. 4. IT Asset Management
- Build and maintain a complete, accurate IT asset register covering every laptop, monitor, peripheral, and accessory.
- Track asset assignments to employees with proper handover documentation, acknowledgements, and condition records.
- Manage joiner / leaver flows in coordination with HR — laptop provisioning for new hires and full asset recovery for exits.
- Maintain software and license inventory — track seats, renewals, and usage to avoid over-licensing or compliance gaps.
- Conduct quarterly asset audits and reconcile physical inventory with the register.
- Manage warranties, AMCs, and refresh planning for aging hardware. 5. Procurement & Vendor Management
- Source and procure laptops, peripherals, and software licenses; standardize device configurations across the company.
- Manage relationships with ISPs, hardware vendors, software providers, and AMC partners.
- Negotiate renewals and contracts to optimize cost without compromising on quality.
- Maintain a small, ready-to-deploy buffer stock of laptops and accessories for new joiners and replacements. 6. Policies, Documentation & Compliance
- Draft and enforce IT policies — acceptable use, data security, BYOD (if applicable), asset handling, and work from home.
- Maintain SOPs for onboarding, offboarding, asset issuance, ticket handling, and incident response.
- Support compliance initiatives the company may pursue (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001) by owning the IT-controls portion — endpoint security, access reviews, asset tracking, and audit evidence. Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 3–4 years of hands-on IT operations experience, preferably in a software / IT company or fast-growing startup.
- Technical: Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills on Windows; working knowledge of other operating systems used in the workplace.
- Systems: Working knowledge of networking (LAN/Wi-Fi/VPN/firewalls), business productivity suites, directory services, and device management platforms.
- Tool Administration: Comfortable administering business SaaS tools — communication, ticketing, source control, and identity management at an admin level.
- Security: Familiarity with endpoint security, MFA, SSO, and identity-management practices.
- Asset Management: Experience maintaining asset registers and software license inventories (any tool — even a well-maintained spreadsheet — is acceptable if the process is sound).
- Certifications (Preferred): Any of ITIL Foundation, CompTIA Network+/Security+, CCNA, or relevant Microsoft certifications are a plus. Soft Skills & Attributes
- Strong ownership mindset — willing to be the single point of accountability for the IT function.
- Service orientation — patient and clear when supporting technical users who may push back.
- Highly organized — comfortable with documentation, tickets, and record-keeping.
- Calm and methodical under pressure (outages, security incidents, exec-level escalations).
- Self-starter — capable of operating without a large team or layered management.
- Clear written and verbal communication. Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.in/job/4n97ex
