About you: You’re a deeply technical individual contributor who enjoys solving complex problems that sit across products, teams and technology stacks. You like being close to the code and the architecture, while also shaping how engineering is done at scale. You lead through trust and influence, not hierarchy, and people seek you out when the problem is hard, ambiguous or business‑critical. You’re curious about how artificial intelligence can improve how software is built and operated, and you’re thoughtful about using it safely and responsibly. You care about customers, reliability and long‑term sustainability, and you’re comfortable balancing technical quality with commercial reality. Day to day, you will:
- Set and evolve the technical direction across multiple Food and Beverage products, designing architectures that support high availability, performance and secure handling of customer data, while still allowing teams to ship value frequently.
- Tackle the most complex engineering challenges across the portfolio, including distributed systems, service‑to‑service communication, data consistency, scaling under peak demand and recovery from production incidents.
- Define how artificial intelligence is used in engineering and in live products, from AI‑assisted coding, testing and incident analysis to agent‑based automation in production, with clear standards for safety, security and cost control.
- Work closely with product and commercial colleagues to translate customer problems into technical approaches, making trade‑offs clear and grounding decisions in data such as availability, deployment frequency and recovery time. Your skills and experiences might also include:
- Significant experience designing and operating cloud‑based software as a service products, including event‑driven and service‑oriented architectures, multi‑tenant data models and contemporary cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.
- Experience improving engineering flow and reliability using DevOps practices, continuous delivery and meaningful operational metrics, for example deployment frequency, lead time for change and mean time to recovery.
- Deep hands‑on use of artificial intelligence tools in engineering workflows, including coding assistants, automated test generation, observability and incident triage, with a clear view on responsible and secure use.
- Experience guiding senior engineers and principals, influencing technical decisions across teams and supporting the integration of acquired products or platforms without disrupting delivery or team momentum.
