Guidewire Policy Center Integration Developer (Pune)

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Guidewire PolicyCenter Integration Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integrations between PolicyCenter and internal/external systems. The role involves working on policy lifecycle integrations including quoting, underwriting, issuance, and renewals, ensuring seamless data exchange and system interoperability.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Development

- Design and develop integrations with Guidewire PolicyCenter using:
- REST & SOAP web services
- Messaging framework (asynchronous integrations)
- Event-driven architecture
- Build APIs for:
- Policy administration
- Underwriting systems
- Third-party services (rating, documents, payments)

Guidewire Configuration & Development

- Customize PolicyCenter using:
- GOSU programming
- PCF configurations
- Data model extensions
- Implement integration logic via:
- Plugins
- Messaging destinations
- Web services

Integration Patterns

- Develop and support:
- Real-time integrations (API-based)
- Batch processing interfaces
- Event-based integrations
- Ensure resiliency, retry mechanisms, and fault tolerance.

API & Middleware

- Work with middleware tools such as:
- MuleSoft / Dell Boomi / Apigee / Kafka
- Design secure APIs using:
- OAuth2, SSL, JWT
- Handle transformation between JSON, XML, XSD

Testing & Debugging

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and defect fixing
- Troubleshoot integration issues across environments
- Ensure compliance with Guidewire best practices

Collaboration

- Work closely with:
- Business analysts
- Product owners
- QA teams
- Architects
- Translate business requirements into technical integration solutions

Required Skills

Guidewire Expertise

- Solid experience in:
- Guidewire PolicyCenter (v10+ preferred)
- GOSU programming
- Guidewire integration framework
- Knowledge of:
- Policy lifecycle (quote → bind → issue → renew)
- Product model (lines, coverages, modifiers)

Integration Skills

- Hands-on experience with:
- REST APIs & SOAP services
- JSON, XML, XSD
- Messaging systems (JMS/Kafka preferred)
- Experience working with:
- Plugins & messaging framework
- Integration Gateway (if applicable)

Technical Skills

- Strong programming skills in:
- Java
- Spring Boot (preferred)
- Database knowledge:
- SQL, data mapping, transformations

Preferred Qualifications

- Guidewire certification (PolicyCenter / Integration)
- Experience in P&C; Insurance domain (Policy systems)
- Exposure to:
- Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP)
- AWS / Azure
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps)
- API Gateways
