We are seeking a results-oriented and visionary Store Manager to lead our operations in Calicut. Job Summary As a Store Manager for Daymart Group, you will be the cornerstone of our store's success, overseeing all aspects of daily operations to ensure profitability, exceptional customer satisfaction, and efficient team performance. Reporting to the Department Head's, you will be responsible for upholding Daymart's brand standards, driving sales growth, and cultivating a positive, high-performing team culture. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily store operations, ensuring smooth functioning, cleanliness, and adherence to company policies and standards. Maintain an inviting and safe shopping environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets . Analyse sales data, control expenses, and manage budgets to maximize store profitability and operational efficiency.
- Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate a team of 20-50 store associates. Foster a productive, engaging, and performance-driven work workplace, ensuring effective team communication and conflict resolution. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching.
- Champion excellent customer service standards. Proactively address customer complaints, feedback, and service improvements, striving for a high customer satisfaction rating.
- Ensure optimal inventory control, stock availability, and minimize shrinkage. Implement effective product display standards, planograms, and promotional layouts to enhance product visibility and sales.
- Ensure strict compliance with all company policies, safety standards, hygiene regulations, and local labor laws. Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales, inventory, labour, and operational performance for management review.
- Liaise effectively with HR for staffing needs, Accounts for financial reconciliation, and Procurement teams for stock ordering and vendor management, ensuring seamless store operations. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in FMCG/Retail operations.
- At least 2 years of proven leadership experience in a Store Incharge or Assistant Store Manager role, preferably in a supermarket or hypermarket setting.
- Higher Secondary (12th Pass) mandatory; a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication (Malayalam & English), and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to manage and motivate large teams.
- Excellent knowledge of inventory management, retail operational best practices, and POS systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) for reporting and analysis.
- Ability to manage large-format stores (10,000 sq. ft.) is a significant advantage.
- Valid driver's license and own conveyance is preferred for occasional inter-store travel within the Calicut region. Preferred Skills

- Ability to adapt quickly to changing retail environments and handle multiple responsibilities concurrently.
