- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with specifications and safety standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Conduct inspections to identify issues with existing plumbing infrastructure and determine appropriate solutions.
- Measure and cut materials accurately using basic math skills to ensure proper fitting of components.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate installation or repairs.
- Assist with assembly of plumbing components and related mechanical systems as required.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored correctly after use.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to minimise risks on-site.
- Collaborate with team members or clients to ensure project requirements are met within designated timelines. Experience
- Proven experience in plumbing installation, repair, or maintenance is essential.
- Knowledge of welding techniques relevant to plumbing applications is desirable.
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and assembly procedures within a mechanical context is required.
- Experience working with commercial or industrial plumbing systems is advantageous.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with basic maths skills will support accurate measurements and problem-solving.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery or perform heavy lifting safely is necessary.
- Previous experience in carpentry or working with building materials can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
- Valid driving licence for commercial driving purposes is preferred but not essential.
