Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations using standardized tools

Diagnose mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, etc.

Provide individual, group, or family therapy sessions

Develop personalized treatment and intervention plans

Offer counseling and crisis intervention support

Maintain confidential client records and documentation

Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (District mental health doctors and team, social workers, educators, etc.)

Provide psych education to clients, their families, and community groups

Support / refer rehabilitation and behavior modification programs

Participate in awareness programs, outreach, and mental health campaigns (especially in NGOs settings)

Monitor and evaluate client progress and adjust interventions as needed.

Requirements

Master’s Degree or M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology (preferred)

Valid license/registration (as per country regulations, e.g. RCI in India)

Robust understanding of psychological theories and therapeutic techniques

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information, work independently.

Experience working with diverse populations (children, adults, persons with disabilities, etc.)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience working in community-based rehabilitation programs

Exposure to disability, child development, or mental health programs

Ability to work in rural or underserved communities

Knowledge of local language and cultural sensitivity

May involve field visits, home visits, and community outreach programs
