Coil Car heavy-duty material handling equipment used in metal processing industries to transport, lift, & position metal coils (copper, steel, aluminum, etc.) safely & accurately. It’s dynamic part of coil handling systems, mostly in slitting machines, cut to length machines & roll forming plants.

Main Functions
Transport coils from storage area to de-coiler or un-coiler
Lift coils to required height for loading
Align coil with mandrel for accurate feeding
Reduce manual handling & improve safety

Working Principle
Coil placed on the coil car saddle (V-block)
Car returns to its primary position for the next cycle
Car moves on rails toward the de-coiler
Hydraulic system lifts the coil to mandrel height
Coil aligned & transferred to the de-coiler
